2012 Message

From the Sundre & District Chamber of Commerce

We invite you to join our active Chamber and become involved in our Town. Discover for yourself our dynamic business community, our outstanding quality of life and our warm community spirit.

The Sundre & District Chamber of Commerce welcomes all business to check out our Chamber through our new and modern website or our local Visitor Information Centre.

Our Chamber is operated by a group of volunteers who work together to develop and promote economic development, tourism, recreational possibilities, leadership & networking to Sundre and the surrounding area.

The Sundre Chamber is composed of 145 different businesses and individuals from our area. We have formed fantastic relationships with local community groups, organizations and government. This is a great way for us to make sure our member businesses stay informed of what is happening in the community.

Our consistent communication and support from the Town of Sundre is a huge asset to our chamber. We will continue to partner with Town of Sundre’s Economic Development Committee to attend large trade shows showcasing our community to the rest of the province. We are very excited about the possibilities and opportunities we will encounter at these events.

We have also formed great working relationships with Greenwood Neighbourhood Place, Sustainable Sundre Committee, and Travel Alberta.   Being a member of Tourism Calgary  has enabled us to connect to an even greater network of businesses, individuals and organizations across the province.

The Sundre Chamber is committed to promoting “local” business first. We offer fantastic networking opportunities, marketing and business partnership as well as the chance to be involved in community events that take place annually such as the Parade, Small Business Week Awards Night, Sundown in Sundre and the Mix and Mingles we do throughout the year.

The local Visitor Information Centre is proud to display and retail local artists work from the community. Artworks range from beautiful paintings, to sculptures, jewelry, photographs, and more. As an executive we feel that supporting local arts and culture is extremely important to our region. Please feel free to drop by the Information Centre to learn about what is going on in the community and see these amazing works of art. Don’t forget to ask our Chamber/Information Centre Manager about the Chamber Art Postcards. These one of a kind postcards are only available to purchase through specific Chamber member businesses and the Visitor Information Centre; an authentic souvenir of Sundre with images that will catch your breath.

The Chamber invites all businesses to join us this year, and enjoy the multitude of benefits offered through being a member of your local Chamber of Commerce. From small business to big industry, the Chamber is excited to be working with amazing people from this beautiful area we call home.

Our chamber members are the pillars of the community and we have a dynamic impact on the quality of life in our Town. Let’s give 2012 a real run for the money and let’s make sure the Sundre & District Chamber of Commerce is your vehicle of choice.

As a community, we share the vision. We work, we volunteer, we support and serve as we build on the successes of those who came before us and develop new and innovative strategies that will make Sundre & area even better.

By working together – we can make great things happen!!
