Since 2009, our membership has blossomed from 40 members to 120 members. We credit this to the unbreakable spirit of the people of Sundre and their determination to support each other even as the world slowly recovered from one of the worst economic recessions of the past 100 years.
NEWS FLASH! The Sundre & District Chamber of Commerce was voted as the 2010 Chamber of the Year at the Alberta Chamber of Commerce AGM.
We have sustained business and continued to grow here in Sundre because we have initiative, imagination, and a will to thrive, not just survive. No one needs to tell us what to do – we see what is needed, we roll up our sleeves and get it done. We don’t sit around waiting for a bail-out with our cowboy hat in hand. Never happen. When a neighbour is in need, we rally around to support them. Remember old-fashioned barn-raisings? Yeah. We do that.
We do business the way our grandfathers did, with a handshake and a promise. And what we promise, we deliver. We’re proud of that, because that was the original concept of professionalism: good old fashioned ethics.
